Objections to Low Frequency Active Sonar

LFA Sonar produces a powerful underwater sound, which has the potential to be audible in every ocean of the world. It is damaging to ocean life in that it destroys acoustic habitats and also can be generated at such a powerful and intense sustained tone that it may deafen even at long ranges from its source. The public is urged to contact and to voice objection to this lack of regard for the acoustic torture of marine mammals.
