Detailed Information:
The main mission of this center is to respond to inquiries concerning themeteorology and climatology of Alaska from public, private and governmentagencies, and from researchers around the world. Most of the climatological data available for Alaska have been accumulated in Fairbanks and by the state climatologist (Dwight Pollard) in Anchorage at the Alaska State ClimateCenter (1 907 257 2737). Our center, the Alaska Climate Research Center (1 907 474 7885), issues long-term climatological records and monthlysummary weather reviews which are published in several newspapers around the state. We also conduct research on a number of high latitude meteorological andclimatological topics and provide useful links for related data. This service isprovided free of charge, provided the request is for small amounts of data.
