The OSU Environmental Institute was implemented in the mid-seventies and has experienced steady growth to its current level of 125students. Students are currently pursuing degrees in the following departments: Agricultural Economics, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Agronomy, Animal Science, Applied Behavioral Studies in Education, Botany, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Curriculum and Instruction, Design, Housing, and Merchandising, Economics, Entomology, Forestry, Geography, Geology, Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Leisure Studies, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Political Science, and ZoologyBecause the demand for Environmental Science graduates is growing rapidly in both the private and public sectors, theprogram coordinator provides up-to- date job information from a variety of publications, and most students are successful in finding jobs in a variety of fields including; academia, industry, consulting, privatefoundations, and government.
